Not So Heroic
Tanithar's Time Turning Trinket
This hourglass charm has power over time.
Tanithar’s Trinket is a wondrous item with the following properties:
Chakra: None (wondrous item)
(recharge 16+), at the end of your turn, you can take back the results of your turn. Any movements, damage, etc is completely reveresed, as time winds back to the beginning of your turn.
Once per level, out of combat, you can rewind time up to five minutes. You are the only one who remembers what happened.
Quirk: You never feel like you have enough time in your life to accomplish what you want. The item pushes you to accomplish more, do more, giving you a sense of impending mortality. “I’ve got to hurry up before this bag of bones I call a body gives out on me!”
Tanithar’s trinket was created by Tanithar, a great artificer who dabbled in the magic of time. He sought to accomplish more with his limited human lifespan, and sought to expand his deeds without resorting to lichdom. He traveled to many planes, sampling the time there. The rushing flood of time in Thelanis, the Faerie Court. The slow crawl of time in Dolurrh, the Realm of the Dead. The unpredictable stop-start-backwards-sideways time of Kythri, the Churning Chaos. One grain of sand from the timestream of each of the 13 planes were crafted into this metal charm, which takes the shape of an hourglass, ever ticking downward but never emptying.
The trinket can only be activated when “time stands still”
